On an unrelated note, when I do a high or mid collapse dive instead of diving normally, I jump laterally and glide while my knee is barely not touching the ground, like when I launch off for the dive I just glide a couple of inches of the ground in the same position

You need coaching to help you since it's difficult to say through a comment on what is necessary to help with this. Try to focus on your push off though

If they were really cheap bad gloves and you don't want durability use vaseline before your games. The grip is insane however you cannot get the vasoline out afterwards. If they are more expensive then get gloveglu.

When you buy new gloves the grip tends to be good to bad quickly because what you are meant to do after receiving new gloves is wash them after taking off the plastic. To make your gloves better just wash them using water

I just mix mild soap and water together, afterwards i soak it in and rinse it with luke warm water. It works well for me and the gloves smell good while the grip still remains.

Yes. Catching the ball is an important thing when goalkeeping, if you don't catch the ball you risk the ball rebounding towards the striker. If you bought very cheap gloves and you don't really care about how long they last you or if you have an old training pair I suggest using vaseline as it greatly improves grip. However you can't wash them properly again afterwards.

Not really. Most goalkeeping is very ability based. Your gloves aren't equipment, they are tools to help you. Your gloves main responsibility is to protect you and help catch the ball. If your handling is good, you will have to rely less on your gloves grip but more on your technique which is ideal. Your gloves grip will help but I don't recommend only relying on that

Yeah. When you get new gloves you should instantly wash them to remove the factory chemical off the latex
