Thanks a million for this video that allows me to see the inside of the air conditioner. Now I realize I almost got scammed today by the airconman to do a chemical overhaul. Told me i need a CO to stop the leak, stating the drain “beside” the coil was chocked hence water leaking from air-con. He demonstrated by pouring water on the top of the coil towards the back and water indeed leaked out from the air-con. By doing that the water doesn’t flow into drain pan that’s why it’s leaking. In the end i went ahead with normal servicing which includes vacuuming of the drainage outlet which i assume that solved the leaking issue. After watching this video i got to know the inside of the air-con and there no drain on the side of the coil. Lesson learned. Good to educate ourselves 😊

Great video, missed watching as I dismantled and clean same model 2 days ago - watched another which took out the drain pan too, but very troublesome. So I didn't like what you did. Unfortunately did not fix back blower correctly and tighten the RHS blower screw. Aircon unable to start with the 2 LED green lights blinking. Next day service man fix it within 2 mins. I suggest you highlight this that the blower need to rotate into correct position before tightening. Also I spent much time fixing back drain tray; but you did it so easily.. Haha. Nowadays new condo is using stack pipe, locate at toilet on top of ceiling. 1)remove the transparent hose and clean it, vacuum the drainage pipe both side. 2)old type condo normally is locate at flow trap inside toilet, remove the flow trap cover, the piping is inside,using small size tube to push in at the drainage pipe and joint to the vacuum pump.

I live in a RENTAL apartment that has a Mitsubishi A/C wall unit, so I'm not allowed to take my unit apart. Is there an easier, less intrusive way for me to clean the unit and especially get rid of that MOLDY smell when I turn the unit on? (I tried to tell the landlord about it but it's anybody's guess when he might do something about it or send a professional out to look at it...) I know that I can open up the large cover on the front and remove the white plastic, curved 'filter' that is right under the cover..and that I can wash it...but my experience is that it doesn't help very much...esp with the moldy smell. I seem to recall reading somewhere, however, that there is a way to RUN the A/C system...maybe for a few hours or so...on a particular setting...and that THAT alone can sometimes help to almost 'clear' the unit of mold?

@Brxndn_AC Жыл бұрын
Sounds like a mini lime pump issue, take the front cover off if it’s a wall mounted unit you should have a lime or white and orange coloured pump, make sure the drain hose is correctly on, make sure the drip tray isn’t full of crap causing a blockage and if it’s not put a glass of water into the drip tray to see if the water is draining if not get a service engineer to take a look 👍
