One thing to note, Don't use warm water, as it can degrade the rubber at the bottom of the mousepad, or rather it can make the whole mousepad f'd up, so only use cold water

i use titanwolf mousepads from amazon since they are cheap and for the price extremly good. sure some mousepads may perform slightly better but its not worth it to me. and since those are so cheap i just throw them in the washing machine. so far they have not fallen apart. the cloth is still sticking to the rubber and the seam is still perfect. and even if at some point the pad falls apart i just get a new one since they are so cheap. i had good mousepads but they are not worth the money. i have 2 times the same pad to cycle when i throw one in the laundry. i believe i have washed the same pad 3 times so far without any problems. just dont wash too hot
@jsprunger62462 жыл бұрын
Be careful using random soaps with ingredients that might stay in the mousepad even if you wash it long and well with hot water. I would say stick to the most basic dish soap with no extra ingredients such as a soap that adds oils to your skin or some shit like that

Is laundry powder or dish soap the best for cleaning mousepads?
@ALBUPerformance3 жыл бұрын
I'd go dish soap. The rock like texture of laundry powder might damage the pad if they are rubbed in before disolving.
@UltraSuperDuperFreak2 жыл бұрын
Well i did everything you told me not to do aswell (yes seriously), just for good measure to cover all points. Nice clean mouse pad and not the slightest sign of tread damage. But then again my mousepad hade never been cleaned (it's from 2017) except from me scraping "nastiness" off it now and then with a nailclipping ! yea ...i dont care if it break ..who would ? a mouse pad cost next to nothing ..20-30$ at most if a really fancy one ? (mine cost 30). I spend that on candy, cake and soda and stuff i dont really need in a heartbeat each day

I have a razer gigantus v2, should I clean it the same way as your or differently? The packaging says that it should be cleaned gently from time to time or something like that i dont remember. My mouse just stopped gliding over it like it used to and it just doesnt feel smooth anymore. So yeah, same way or different?

I have razer acari hard mouse pad. How can i clean it ?
@ALBUPerformance3 жыл бұрын
Ah yes, the Razer Acari. It's known for a few issues. Namely PTFE mouse feet do not do well with it due to its coating. It wears out relatively fast where you'll have friction in the center but smoothness on the edges. Cleaning it unfortunately doesn't fix this, but rather makes it worse since it's a special coating they put on the mousepad that's wears out. The only recommendation I have for this is to try using ceramic mouse feet with it - should keep it from wearing out so quick.

just did it as closly as i could, in mathtub, used handwashing soap AND dishwascshing soap, used sponge, im just waiting for it to dry, mine was very dirty before hand so i prey this works becuase i could barley aim in any game (ik its not cuz of the mouse cuz it works better on the wood table which is bad news)

1:10 Why does twisting the mousepad here ruin it?
@ALBUPerformance2 жыл бұрын
My twisting I mean wringing it like a towel. You shouldn't do it because stretching the fibers like that can cause micro tears of the interlaced threads. Basically resulting in very tiny frizzled threads to stick out of the mousepad. Similar to lint on clothing. They may not be easily noticeable to the naked eye, but for a precise mouse laser it can really affect the smoothness. To be honest, this will happen regardless over time from normal use and a mousepad should be replaced once it's showing signs of wear, or if its been washed a couple dozen times.
