I've been a professional window cleaner, pressure and soft washer since 2000. I can't thank you enough for videos like this, they keep me busy! And removing hard water stains from glass amd frames as well as fading in all the "sweep marks" on concrete is a premium charge! Keep up the good work! For everyone else, call an actual professional, not someone trying to sell you a junky pressure washer!

This is the comment I came here for. Anthony I have just invested in a soft wash and power wash truck and my windows are coming out like garbage. So many hard water spots it’s driving me nuts. Using my house wash on them and not sure how to get rid of them. Would live some tips and advice.

The turbo nozzle isn't for "more power" to reach the second story. It makes the water come out in a spiral pattern, like the spiral on a turbo. It provides multi-directional cleaning without having to constantly move the pw wand. Think of it like an orbital sander. You wanted the yellow nozzle for higher pressure to reach that second floor. Great video though!

Just an observation being a window cleaner for decades. I do new home construction windows and some places I pressure wash porches. I notice that if a pressure washer is used on glass there is a lot of hard water spots ve windows I tap wash and rinse. I have to scrub and scrape the glass so I rinse and brush or pad scrub using a Turtle wax spot free car wash soap, no wax type. I do add a bit of eco soap and dishwasher rinse aid. Prince good with a final flow rinse. Let dry, very few spots and I don't have to squeegee or go over with pure water.

@KathrynEmeryTV

@Man-and-Hound
@Man-and-Hound 3 жыл бұрын
You don't have to remove screens if you are using low pressure. But if your are using any pressure then a REAL professional will tell you yes. Remove them to ONE... not damage them with pressure. And TWO screens need to be scrubbed to clean. You can't just spray them down. You ever spray a screen clean just to put it back and notice once its dry it looks dirty again. Thats because uou aren't cleaning it correctly

Two questions. Rejuvenate - After spraying, do I need to use a squeegee. Also what's the drying time because I read below that you can spray the screens. I would like to be able to clean the screens as well without popping them out. Pressure washer - Can this also be used to clean screens without taking them off? And will it clean both window and screen if both are still on the window?
@KathrynEmeryTV
@KathrynEmeryTV 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Shere, great questions. Both will clean the screens and the windows so no need to remove. For deep cleaning windows with the pressure washer add a window washing solution to the tank, just make sure it doesn't damage plants since there will be run off. I really like the Rejuvenate for that reason. Dry time depends on the weather, but typically around 5 - 10 minutes. I find after a long winter I need to clean twice, with all the grime and build up. Thanks for watching and if I can answer anything else let me know.
@shereverewalker3716
@shereverewalker3716 3 жыл бұрын
@@KathrynEmeryTV Thank you. 1. Can the rejuvenate be used in a pressure washer. 2. Also is a squeegee necessary to use after the rejuvenate or should we just spray and let it do its thing. Just trying to prevent streaks. I'm hoping it allows me to skip the squeegee and give it that streak free look after spray.
@KathrynEmeryTV
@KathrynEmeryTV 3 жыл бұрын
@@shereverewalker3716 no squeegee needed, its magical. You could put the Rejuvenate in there but the beauty of that product is you can just attach to a hose and it has a built in pressure sprayer in the bottle. For pressure washer I would just use some natural window cleaner, Rejuvenate makes one now that's pretty good, it's plant based, not soap based (soap leaves streaks).

As a professional window cleaner...I promise you this is ineffective. This will only work if the windows are already clean, which defeats the purpose obviously. Moreover this will 100% leave a film from whatever that chemical is that will attract every piece of dust and pollen that blows by. I've been an exterior cleaning specialist for over 20 years and this video must be the worst "expert" video I have ever seen. Not once does this video show the windows, I guarantee her so called "sparkling clean process" will leave water marks every time, not to mention the damage to your window seals. Yes a professional window cleaner can be expensive, to hire my company will cost a minimum of $150 for a 2 bedroom single story home, but if you're willing to put the time (approx 2-6 hours for an inexperienced window cleaner depending on home size) you can purchase fairly decent equipment from your local home improvement store. In the industry we like to say you always want to be nose to glass, but for a small investment and a lot of practice you can clean your windows for a small investment of approximately $200. Head to your local home improvement store purchase the following A T-bar mop A squeegee A telescoping extension bar A pack of terry towels You should find these items either in the window cleaning section or the general cleaning section (depends on the store you frequent) Alternatively contact a professional they'll truly get get your windows clean, prolong the life of your windows and give you true value for money, please regardless of if you choose professional or to it yourself never ever use any of these so called miracle cleaning materials or a power washer it will cost you more in the long run. Any homeowner or someone wanting to get a start in the industry feel free to contact me to get valuable information and in the DFW area please feel free to discuss appointment availability

Paul thanks for your thoughtful comments and advice; even instead of terry towels I would suggest microfiber works wonders on windows. Hahaha never ever! Hire a pro window cleaner, you'll get actual results. Old school window cleaner here telling you this is like cleaning your headlights with bugspray. Maybe paint your house with spray paint or put ketchup in your gas tank.

Not quite the same thing, there is actual window cleaner you put in the pressure washer and it’s what manufacturers recommend when they make it. I understand your perspective of course. There is no substitute for getting windows done professionally by hand, it’s the best. Some people can’t afford that and this as well as the Rejuvenate on a hose is another DIY option for them, especially those afraid to get on a ladder.
