If You would like to have crystal clear water in your pond the easiest and cheapest way is to build a bog filter by yourself. It’s so easy and the result is stunning. Greetings,

Also adding that an episod of rain will tend to fertilize your pond, as drops of water gets nitrogen and phosphate from the atmosphere and that is what essentially helps fertilize soils, turning anything green in your pond, but again as this video points out, Bacteria is key to getting rid of it.

4:40 not sure where this sentiment comes from. I have big koi and tons of plants, you just gotta pick the right ones, not the ones like hornwort which they eat. Lilies and any kind of reed-like plants will do fantastic with koi. Its also fun to watch the koi look for food in between the plants

I just started a pond and I don't have any fish in it yet. I also kept most of the leaves out of it. I did put a few plants from some of my aquariums like water lettuce, hornwort. My water started turning green about a 2 weeks after filling it. I don't see why it did.

Hi, thanks for watching. With new ponds it can take some time for the ecosystem to settle and this can cause what's known as 'new pond syndrome.' Give it some time but also try getting some beneficial bacteria in there (Envii Pond Klear or Pond Klear Xtra should do the trick depending on the size of the pond). That will definitely help get the water clear. Hope this helps.

My I’ve been struggling to get clear water this time around. It’s been greenish and I finally got it clear yesterday but after a day, it went back to green. I did have a duck use my pond for a few days this winter and it wreaked havoc on the plants, dirtied the water to almost brown, and killed some fish. I’ve done quite a few water changes, pond chemicals, cleaned filter, no luck. There’s a lot of debris on the bottom of the pond too from the leaves. I was wondering if it’s the debris that causes it or is it combination of other things?

Hi, thank you for watching. The debris certainly will make your green water problem worse. Green water feeds off of the excess nutrients in ponds and those excess nutrients are caused by the debris. Have you tried using Envii Pond Klear or Envii Pond Klear Xtra? I know you mentioned you have tried chemicals, but Pond Klear isn't a chemical, it is actually made of beneficial bacteria that will work to clear the green water. Do I have to have an ultra ray lamp filter? I just have an ordinary pond filter. Will Pond Clesar Extra help to clesar my green water without such a filter/ I rehoused someone's else large fish by my standards (11 of them) but now gone to a friend. OR will my pond clesar on its own over the next few months as soimeone has told me it will?

An ordinary pond filter is just fine. Pond Klear Xtra will help clear the pond more efficiently than leaving it do it on its own, especially if you regularly clean the filter alongside regular treatments. Hope this helps!

All ponds are different, some might clear within the first treatment and others may require multiple treatments to clear. I don’t know - a lot of the reviews are saying they’ve followed the course/ instructions for weeks. I’d like to see the company standing over the product and offering a money back guarantee. Too many ‘snake-oil’ remedies out there for green ponds.
