Very good pieces of advice. I hope this is not the last video with such tips.

@@eliotstephens1315 This stuff will be very important when we're finally allowed to travel a bit more, and I'll drive over to Wales for the famous bouldering over the border! Not been yet (a trip last year got cancelled due to obvious reasons) and extra psyched for it!

Awesome tips, would love a video on reading routes/problems

Cheers! and noted, this is definitely something I'm going to film outside at a new area/boulder for me, and document the process I go through.

Thanks really great advice. Very guilty of the not believing especially on the Moonboard!! Try something a few times and give up because it just feels impossible. Need to fix this!!

Great vid, thanks man. Agree on rest, I've always rested for that little bit longer than might have been necessary, although I think there's a balance too where maybe you get a bit cold if you rest for too long.
@eliotstephens13154 жыл бұрын
Cheers Nick. Yeah it's a balance for sure isn't it. Best thing I've found is just experimenting and getting to know my body and how much rest it needs in different conditions etc.

Another great video. My quick question is this: how much of your training / board sessions are devoted to aspirational moves, the ones that might take you up another notch?
@eliotstephens13154 жыл бұрын
Cheers mate! Most, if not all of the problems I set on my board have some kind of link to outdoor boulders, where its a specific move, or just the style. And the finger/conditioning training is pretty similar too, targeting muscle groups that feel worked when I try specific projects outside. I try and keep it as applicable as possible.

I think I heard Matt Fultz say you save a lot of skin when you do a boulder first go. My takeaway from that was to try to be as focused and efficient on each attempt as possible.
@eliotstephens13154 жыл бұрын
100% agree. The more thought and consideration you put into each effort, the more skin and energy you save.

Ye a minute a move rest isn’t enough for me and what’s the point ? Might aswell improve your chances and rest bit longer
@eliotstephens13154 жыл бұрын
Same for me mate, just took me a while to be strict with it. pretty common to see people not resting long enough. seen people have 2 mins between goes on Jerry's roof. move lower each time.
