This is exactly what I was thinking of doing for our big pit/lab mix weighing over 115 lbs of pure love! She's so strong that we are unable to hold her down. So, want to get a large breed harness for her and use my engine hoist to lift her up. Sounds good on paper 🤔My wife thinks I am crazy 😁

Engine hoist is a solid idea. I was thinking of hanging the pup off a couple of those bike hooks in the garage ceiling

You never showed us how to clip front nails, you cut that out and placed and advertisement there and returned only to be clipping his rear paws...didn't look like he was having any bit of clipping his front s

My friends have a hard time believing, when I tell them my nail trimming method. Our rescue Mutt (almost 15 now), reacts to nail trimming like his paws are being cut off. Items needed... Garage trusses, vehicle tow strap with hooks on either end, muzzle, regular harness with loop large enough to accommodate tow strap hook, extra wide padded tool belt (for rear end/legs), trimmers as shown in video, patient wife to hold mutts head and chest area. We truss our pooch up and in less than 5 minutes it's all done. We've tried Ace before trimming. But didn't like the long lasting sedative effects. The truss method looks very torturous, but it's effective, safe and quick. Once his nails are trimmed, he's a happy camper.

I have 2 puppy pomerianian's we have been taking to the vet $29 each - I bought clippers to try myself - Our Girl pomerianian is a bit hyper but Bear our boy pomerianian sits nice . Thank you I will watch other content as I was told there is a vein .. God bless you Josette - Texas

Not a good method, you need a better harness to support the lower part of body as well. Plus you spent too much time talking rather than doing and you could see the dog got more anxious the longer you took to try and explain as he was hanging mid air. Maybe try to be more relaxed and calm when clipping their nails. I know if I could see your nervous energy in this video then your dog obviously feels it.

Good grief, as a professional AKC accredited and show dog groomer, this is the wrong invention ever for dogs. The stress on the dog it real and shows that you have not done a ounce of training to calm the animal down.

Dogs are like humans. Not all of them can be trained the exact same. Would you rather they not cut the nails at all? That would cause ALOT worse issues than just some temporary stress
