Hello, If you find the same part number it won't start as the VIN & immobilizer data won't match the car. To do this you must take a BDM read of the ORIGINAL ECU with a tool like KTAG then write this data to another ECU of matching part number. Then it will start with no issues on the new ECU Thank you!

T3efy Hi, This is a 100% working solution. This was a real live job. I personally went and fitted the new ECU to the Volvo and it started up and has been running 100% perfect since. Thanks for your comment. Lewis

Lewis when you replace a ecu can some scan tools program the new ecu?

mzm Hi, Yes you can read all the data. The damaged ECU was electronically damaged. After cloning this ECU I personally went out and fitted the new ECU to the Volvo and it started up and has been working 100% since. Thank you for your comment. Lewis

You can clone a ECU with SLAVE KTAG or MASTER KTAG but with a SLAVE KTAG you will need your MASTER to code the READ file back to your SLAVE tool so it can write back to the new ECU We sell GENUINE KESS & KTAG if your interested
