Hey guys, liking these new video format pods. Just some constructive criticism. To my eyes it seems Wes video framerate is quite low / choppy in the last couple videos which gets a bit distracting. Great content as always!

I think, judging by Wes' twitter, that they're having issues with the current software they use and are looking for alternatives.

This is accurate. Wes’ frame rate it’s getting slaughtered rn in our recording platform. We’ve both started recording locally to try and mitigate. What’s weird is the we both use the exact same setup (cam, capture card, software). But somewhere in the upload to rivierside it’s getting 🫠

“Safari”, “worst in class”. Shots fired. 😮 I do think this comes down to the dev tool experience being very different than Chrome and most people are just very used to Chrome. Firefox dev tools are very similar to Chrome. Safari has dev tools that work differently.

Wow, what a ride that episode was, Just listening in and pondering the sheer number of tools we've got at our disposal. 🫠 And the hosting situation for backends-yikes! (Not loving the monthly fee structures) VP is starting to look like the way to go😅 A bit of hassle upfront, but smooth sailing after that.
