This recipe changed the way I look at tea. Thank you for your effort. Used to make it all the time a couple years ago, then at some point I stopped making it and forgot about it. Came back to this video to revive the oolong spirit. Thanks and ciao

Should we put hot water just covering leaves and after that fill the jar with cold water?
@huatian15522 жыл бұрын
Good afternoon I think not, as it wouldn't be cold brewed then, you would brew it normally and make it colder with cold water. If I understand correctly, brewing with cold water releases different components from the leaves, that aren't as bitter, but rather sweet, tones you won't get with a usual boiling or hot brew, it simply takes much longer. Have a good day and weekend Sir

if i want to add some sugar/honey, when is the right time to add it? Right from the start or after you strained the tea? Thanks in advance
@wolfteatw4 жыл бұрын
We would recommend after strain the tea. The long cold-brew process with other material may effect the tea leaves release and change its origin characteristic.

Hi~ should we rinse the tea leaves before cold brewing for hygiene?
@wolfteatw3 жыл бұрын
Hi, it does not need to rinse before cold brewing. The main purpose of rinse is to help tea leaves expand better in short time.

Can I add / mix milk to cold brew tea?
@wolfteatw3 жыл бұрын
Not recommend. Because we need tea stronger, bitter, and more astringency to get better balance with tea.

I’ve heard from a couple of sources that most teas should be cold brewed for 12 hours, but I saw in your video that you only brewed it for a total of 10. Is this a matter of taste or can the brewing times fluctuate between 10-12 hours? I just stumbled upon your channel and really enjoyed this video!
@wolfteatw4 жыл бұрын
10~12 hours are decent cold brew time. All it depends on the tea leaves characteristic and temperature you use to reach the best cold brew taste. Some light flavor or balled shaped teas takes longer time to release. It requires some experiments and has no specific rule : )

Why you have to sit it for 2 hours at room temperatures?
@wolfteatw4 жыл бұрын
Sitting at room temperature helps tea leaves release better and stronger flavor.
