I first saw these pencils on Colouring With K’s channel, and she really liked them. My daughter, who’s 26, is wanting to color, so I bought her this set and a couple of coloring books for Christmas, and she likes them. I’m probably going to get me a set eventually 😂. I loved your shading lesson! I used your black technique on some crystals in a Mythographic page I just finished. It’s a game changer.

Hi Beth, thank you so much you are the best! Yeah, one time on prime day, I purchased a small set in a small box for my kids and so I tried them and I was very underwhelmed. They were not pigmented at all, and they felt just full of wax, so yeah I don’t get the hype about them really. Glad we agree lol XOXO.

I've not been able to find the brutfuner squares anymore on US Amazon and been hunting for a good budget pencil. I bought this set for Xmas buy haven't had the chance to try them yet. Couldn't see the love for Kalour, a regretted purchase. I usually prefer a 120 set so wish woomer would go bigger. Never enough greens for me. Lol. I personally felt the price for these was a bit high for only 72 buy luckily caught them on sale so took the plunge. Thanks for showing them.

What is the difference between Brutfuner round and the square? I have 160 round

I think they’re probably pretty similar. I don’t have the rounds but I have the macaron set and the quality is very similar to the Brutfunner Square set.

Yah i agree i prefer smaller sets. But sometimes id like 120 as maximummcoz they have greys and more dark which i used most... Always take care there Maia!!

How do I know when to shade above and when to shade below the folds?

Hi Laura, you should usually shade below a fold, meaning under the fold that’s a good rule of thumb

I've been contemplating whether to buy these or not because I heard great reviews on YT and Amazon. The only thing I have a problem with is the set is 72, and it's not enough colors if I want to use only this one on a page, seeing it doesn't have enough darks. I wish I knew if they have plans to expand it to 120 in the future, or I should just order it now. Thank you for the review! I loved it! I hope you're staying safe and your house is also OK.
