Do you like these types of shorter tutorials? Let me know what livestream I've got that you'd like to see edited down! If I get 100 likes on this video, I'll edit some more for you guys!

Oh yeah! I like this shorter style. Sometimes, I just want to know how to do one specific thing which is great if it can be condensed into a bitesize chunk. I like the live streams but can't always participate but tend to watch them back later though not always soon after they're originally broadcast.

Hi Laura. I love these short tutorials. I find i can concentrate on exactly what your doing. which colours your using and how you put them down. And its quicker to find a " How To" without having to find it on a long video. Definitely a thumbs up from me sweetheart. Much love from the UK. x💖💖💖

I love these types of tutorials! They come in handy for me since I’m constantly trying to learn. If you get the 100 likes, I’d really love to see your more recent skin tone turned into a tutorial. The one with the moon-like pale skin. I actually tried it one time and the character ended up looking sick, which is NOT what I was going for. 😂
@lauracolorstoo5 жыл бұрын
Great Cassie! The skin tutorial you've requested could certainly be edited down, but I'm afraid that will be a much longer video regardless, due to the subject matter. After it's fully filmed I'll take a look and see! Thanks for the suggestion and feedback!

lauracolorstoo Thanks Laura! No worries, I really enjoy longer videos. But I know you’re going for shorter ones for the edited versions, so if you decided to go with something else, I would watch that one too. I just enjoy your videos!

I second the idea of shorter, more direct skin tutorials. I don’t know about the rest of the viewing community, but anything under 30 minutes, I consider short. Plus, you are AMAZING with skin coloring, so I’d love you to share whatever aspects of this subject you’d like! 😘
@cassiezcreates28785 жыл бұрын
Allison Bonk Definitely! 30 minutes it totally a shorter video in my opinion. I don’t think one could do a proper skin tutorial in a much shorter time period. Laura definitely has the skin down to a tee!
@lauracolorstoo5 жыл бұрын
@@alli_went_bonkers awesome Allison, I think I could do a mix of timelapse and real time in under 30 minutes, but most portraits take me at least 8 hours to do! I'll think more about how to accomplish a shorter skin tutorial ❤

This was a nice tutorial and it gets the point across. If that's what the viewer wants. I, however prefer the longer more leisurely pace. I notice people are responding to your voice. Its relaxing and gets almost to a meditative tone. I enjoy your voice as it relaxes me and I almost always learn something new at each Live Stream. I prefer the Live Stream but won't leave if you go with short videos.
@lauracolorstoo5 жыл бұрын
Please don't worry Diane, I'll still be doing livestreams every Tuesday, and I won't be deleting the livestream that this was edited from! If you prefer the longer format it's not going anywhere. But I have gotten comments where people dislike the "Chit-chat" as they call it - and so I thought I would try editing down something we've already done live to see what that process looks like for me.

Brilliant, exactly the type of info I was looking for...being new to ur videos, it’s difficult to sift out the appropriate info in ur live-streams vs these quick tutorials where ur straight to the point...question, do U mix mediums? Meaning do U use alcohol based markers and color pencils on a piece?

I wish I could share what I’m working on, I’m stuck at the metal border part, u would digg it, it’s a steampunk coloring book by the legend Joe Benitez called Lady Mechanika...I usually start out with Sharpies (not talented enough to invest in Copics just yet) as a flat base then try to layer in using my Prismas...but metal is difficult for me, so I’m STOKED I found you and ur knowledge

@@lauracolorstoo are these types of videos easier for you time wise? Your needs are important also, or do they take a lot of editing and fussing about.
@lauracolorstoo5 жыл бұрын
Well they're different. Editing does take a long time, but it can be done in bits at my leisure and I can schedule edited videos ahead of time. Editing is also less stressful for a stage fright prone person like me. There's benefits to livestreams I miss though, mostly the interaction with friends. Editing down livestreams that are popular seems like a nice blend; many do seem to prefer the short tutorials, but the livestreams also seem like an essential part of my channel for many in the community. I hope that as time goes on and I build stuff I can reuse (like the credits for example), my editing process becomes quicker and more streamlined. But that's why I qualified it with seeing if we get 100 likes, that's a nice way to be sure I'm not wasting time!
