Midtone grays help a lot on color mixing, I don't know why but they really do! I do them when I do a color silhouette of the character first like what you just did. It's weird but it really helps with getting the colors right, sometimes having a white background while coloring is distracting for me i don't know why 😂

I'm a bit confused on the blush layer and the random layer in between the base and flat layers because you told us to put the blush in between them but you put the blush on layer 5 and that's not in between them. I'm also wondering why you set the random layer to 42% opacity. I also noticed that layer three and five are both on multiply, I don't know what that does but I assume it's important. sorry for the questions 😅

I think the random layer is the blush layer, because I mentioned that you put that over your flat color layer and that you can rename it if you want but I don't think I renamed mine, usually I lower the blush layer to %40. I think for some of the layers I did some additional shading on this drawing that isn't really necessary or too important so I didn't mention them. So those are probably the additional multiply layers you're seeing.

This did give me some helpful tips but next time can you not speed through deselecting everything with the magic wand around here-ish 3:58 I had to figure out how to deselect it myself and I was so worried I'd ruin my art :(

I absolutely love this piece, but I did have a few issues with the video. In the beginning, you bumped a lot against your mic, and it was a bit distracting, but the biggest issue is your low confidence in your explanation and yourself. How can we trust your tutorial if you don't even trust yourself (14:07) with the thing you're meant to be teaching us? I would also recommend scripting the videos, as that would help with the confidence of the voiceover and make things make a bit more sense and be less confusing to hear as a viewer! Besides that, wonderfully explained, thank you!
