Great information Gary! Thank you. I've noticed the highlighted line around the subject in photos on my iPhone too, but I have never known what to do with it. I don't think Preview is available for the iPhone. So, I'm not sure what use the highlighted subject is on the iPhone, perhaps a future macmostvideo?

There are other uses for "Copy Subject" other than this. For instance, you can copy and paste them by themselves. So you can send a picture of someone, or a pet, for instance, without the background. But you can do the same thing on the iPhone if you get an image editing app too.

Yes, but you'd need an image editor since Preview is for Mac.

Gary once I have a subject highlighted with the lasso, how can I invert the image in the lasso. For instance I’m shooting through a glass sphere, the image is inverted, I want to invert it so it is correct.

You won't be able to do that in Photos. You'll need something like Pixelmator Pro (or Photoshop, etc) to do it.

Sorry, I'm not quite sure what you are trying to do other than manipulate some images in a variety of ways. If you liked Fireworks, I would look at Pixelmator Pro today. Not free, but neither was Fireworks.
