I found charts with both TSV and MACD 2 line with histogram on the same chart and the TSV and MACD were virtually IDENTICAL, so if you can't find TSV good ol' MACD will work just fine.

But at the very least, that trader would be helped to exit his trade at his price, hopefully to prevent further loss, and possibly a trader that is successful is just taking profits at that point. How do we know?!? And potential loss is the risk we all willingly take! Which is where we learn more. Until we get to the place that we want to be where we are hopefully gaining in revenue as well. People really shouldn't trade unless they are willing to lose their hard earned money. That is the part of trading that many do not want to cause others to lose their money but how do we get around that?

Hi - Firstly, love your stuff. Great quality vids. This one confused me a bit. You talk about Time Segmented volume. Take the overage of the 10:15 bar over the last month, compare to the current one, etc. I get it and I typically refer to this as 'Relative Volume', and it's something I do. However, if you look at 'Time Segmented Volume' indicator, and even the Worden stuff (as the apparent inventors of 'Time Segmented Volume' indicator, or, TSV, it is something completely different. A formula that take volume and price into account, but doesn't seem to do per period time comparisons as you commented. Is this an unfortunate name confusion - The TSV from Worden is not the TSV you are talking about? For example, the ones mentioned for TradingView are formula based. There is no historical lookback/comparison with prior time period volumes I can see. Thanks.

I share your view. Maybe it is just the confusion caused by the name. The scripts from Trading View compare only the current bar with the previous bar [being the 15min, 30min, you name it]... And depending on whether the close of the current bar is higher or lower than the previous one, it then assigns a value which is basically the volume of the current bar multipled by the result of the diference between the closing prices [if the current bar close was higher, it will have a positive value, if it was lower, it will have a negative value]...

I did in fact look at the source in the TV ones, seeing as they were mentioned by the author in the comments as a TSV indicator (so perhaps he has been misled by the name himself - I don't know), but as you found, it is not comparing volume historically as discussed in the video (other than a mean), at all.
