How to set up two blueprints that will interact with each other in Unreal 4

You're the man. Thank you for making this as SIMPLE as possible. This took me days to find an answer to. So many other tutorials over complicate things and don't just simple link the two blueprints the way you did. Now I can finally make the "switch" downstairs unlock the door upstairs... Or have my character pickup a key and have it be usable on a door (or many different doors) throughout the level. Seems like a very simple thing to be able to do, but nobody else I could find was showing how to do it with TWO separate blueprints. Can't thank you enough!!

This! I'm wondering the same thing. *Edit, nevermind, he answered it below, you just have to make multiple public variables for each door.

You are the one and only person I've seen who has finally demonstrated how to activate something remotely, without walking up to it and activating up-close nor standing on platforms/trigger areas to make it move automatically (which is literally what all other videos show). I dont know why it had to be so hard to have found this video, but thanks for making it. Best of all, its far simpler than most things I've seen too!

How about multiple objects with same blueprint? I don't want to choose only one object.

Does this work for UI related stuff too? Cause I am unable to get it to work. All I get is: Blueprint Runtime Error: "Accessed None trying to read property (blah)"

I cant reference Objects as a Variable Type could there be a problem with the software or am i using a different version?
@hiQer3 жыл бұрын
Just type in the name of your custom Blueprint it will find it. Then reference that (blue).
