That could be interesting... Honestly, though, it would kind of make people not want to spend money on the game and Supercell wouldn't have enough money to continue the game. What I think would be cooler, on a similar note, is having a permanent 100-win challenge. This would keep F2P players interested in the game and able to compete and "push" at tourney standard. Your Max challenge wins would be similar to your trophy count in that it would be an achievement that would be on your profile. Clans could also have a "max win" requirement for joining their clan like we have with trophies today.

I only spent 15$ Played Royale since April 2016 Now I have miner, princess, ice wiz, E wiz, Log, lavahound all at lvl.3 I usually play classic challenges for fun and to try different decks and cards On ladder I play mortar or hog only and only push in the last 2 days of the season

The stuff swood says about finding a competitive clan is spot on. Your skill and individual effort will get you to a spot where you’re pretty good (example 12-17 wins on 20 win challenge) but without the support of really good players helping you practice your best deck vs meta decks is usually the only way to get to that competitive zone. There’s only so much watching replays will do when you don’t have a community.

That is so not true. You also need a meta deck and having card 2-3 levels lower than your opponents makes winning a lot harder even unplayable.

Sam Chen no that's a complete lie.. You just need to learn how to use the cards and how to counter any with your own deck. Meta decks just make it harder but not unbeatable. My friend is arena 9 level 6, the cards are low but she still wins. Just have to think about precis plays

Over leveled hogs, royal giants, elite barbs and ZAPS are a nightmare. I use log bait and I'm at about 4k trophies, it is really hard to beat players with cards and king towers at higher levels.

And it's frustrating cuz my skill level is definitely higher cuz in tournaments or friendlies I beat players much higher than me. Advice?

Hey glad you enjoyed it man. Ladder is in a really tough spot for F2P IMO. It's hard to suggest a solution for you until they revamp things a bit. Hoping that the December update adds a new fun way to compete!

Hey dude, i was in the same spot as you. I decided to switch to a deck with mainly common cards and 1 epic because its much easier to level up. You will get your commons to level 12 in no time and maxing them is extremely fast compared to the other rarities, also you can focus on your epic on sunday! so eventually you should be able to get that pretty high too. As low spenders we can Play meta decks with legendaries and epics but we have to accept that using them on ladder is just not in the cards. Getting a deck with multiple legendaries and epics to anything near max is gonna take years. soo, if you have any ambition to reach 5k you have no other option than to use a common heavy deck. Btw good decks with many commons include Hog cycle decks (with archers, tesla and knight), mortar decks but also graveyard cycle decks since graveyard does not need to be high level to be effective.

Derek Mast it's important to focus on one deck, and have only one or two epics in that deck. Make sure you upgrade the commons and rares as well as requesting the epic(s) on sunday. Focus on your battles and don't let BM get in your head.

Cool video kinda needed it! Spent quite some money on the game on epic/legendary heavy decks and now I feel the pain for ladder. Now I'm trying to be smarter with my money and gems. Also focusing on more f2p decks with a legendary or two as I still spend a little bit. Something like mortar bait with Miner and log (which can be replaced by arrows if necessary).

In my opinion ladder is also a competition for f2p players. It's easy to get common cards to maxed lvl due to requesting them in the clan and farming gold. I think climbing higher on the ladder can be really frustrating but also very motivating. Especially since they introduced the ligue system it is quiet a competition to reach a higher ligue from season to season. But all in all a good quality video as always ash ;) Greetings from Germany!

If you guys care about this game and want to see it changed for the better PLEASE read this comment and give me your thoughts and feedback. In your last video with Pat you guys were talking about how to fix the ladder; this is the simple and easy fix I think everyone can agree on: double or even triple the current amount of gold one receives after a 1v1 and 2v2 win. The problem for free to play players is that it is so hard to get your hands on gold to purchase legendaries or even rares/epics in shop, so by increasing the reward it would incentivize players to play more and put more gold in their pockets to spend and reinvigorate a new found love in the game for many. Simultaneously this would affect youtubers content views, stream views etc since everyone would be playing again. If you agree like this so he can see it.

I made it into league 1 (4000 trophies) as a player who has spent $30 on the game, I also unlocked all of the legendaries and cards just from grinding gold. Tbh, I couldn't have made it without ash's tips.

I'm 100% free to play at 4k with tournament standard levels it's actually useful to get to 4k and higher because you get a draft chest with epics and gold and you choose the one you need so you can climb higher and get better draft chests and without ladder or challenges there's nothing left to do in the game

If they had heros how do you feel about them being like in hearthstone, where they just give you one (or multiple) abilities to be use in battle based off the hero you choose which can be made more powerful with its upgrade(would be cool if they only can be strengthen and earned by doing good in challenges). I just feel them being cards that go in decks would be a terrible idea because they may just end up in every deck if they're op. Know this is off topic but just wanted to get it out there.

I'm 7 minutes in and I just heard the piece where he said to only focus on leveling the cards you use in ladder. Great freaking idea, until Supercell decides the cards you've been requesting and purchasing from the shop are overpowered so they get nerfed and you have to start all over with a new deck. That's happened to me way too many times.

Everyone talks about not upgrading all the cards and to upgrade only those cards which we use, but as a matter of fact, decks become outdated and suddenly the deck which helped you gain hundreds of trophies suddenly stops working and and you have to make a new deck based on what most people are running or meta-decks,etc. And at that point, we really have to upgrade those cards which we thought we'd never be using. Any tips?
