I'm in Barcelona,@@LisaSadleir​. I actually went to the office today and it turns out you need a lot more than what I read online. You need a recent empadronamiento, plus proof of your working life in Spain if you work here (Informe de vida laboral) and payment ahead of time, I guess (Tasa descargada, which is currently 12,00€).

Hi @ML 92 , basically there's a preliminary lineup when you go (at least in Barcelona) where they check if you have all of the paperwork. If you have everything in order, you take a number and wait for your number to be called. Again, I needed: • EX18 form in duplicate (just leave blank what you're not sure about) • Informe de Vida Laboral (plus photocopy) • payment of Model 790 (download online, fill out, print and pay at a bank machine and don't forget receipt of payment!) • passport plus photocopy • if you already have that old NIE sheet of paper, I'd take that too Here's the link for the 790 form: sede.policia.gob.es:38089/Tasa790_012/ImpresoRellenar
