How to Complete the Fall 2025 UC Application Line By Line

I have few questions. Do UC only look at sophomore and junior year grades? Or they count freshman year and senior year also? After the final transcript from school on June when UC will release final decision? Please let me know. I will really appreciate your help 🙏

UC primarily focus on grades from your sophomore and junior years. However, they do look at all four years to get a comprehensive view of your academic progress compared to other applicants. Freshman and senior years are also important as they show your transition into high school and how you finish your high school career. As for the final decision, it may vary. Typically UC schools send out admission decisions in March. After receiving your final transcript in June, they review it to ensure you're maintained a good academic standing. If everything is in order, your admission will be finalized.

I have a question. for the awards, specifically Seal of Bileracy. the question asks: What are the eligibility requirements for this award? How is award recipient chosen? How many total recipients? Is there an application or nomination for this award? - How would you suggest to respond to this if we dont know how many recipients nor application process?

Question: which UCs actually consider alternate majors for admission? I called Berkeley just last week and their admission rep stated that they do NOT look at alternate major, only primary.

That's a great question! Realistically most UCs will NOT make it to the alternate major. For more context: The alternate major is there in the case that the admission readers go through the entire primary major first and there would still be spots left at the schools. Realistically, this is no longer the case at most UCs. Some of the UCs that might consider this would be schools that admit by major, such as UCI or UCSB.

What is the application process for immigrant students. I have completed my high school in Pakistan and studied one year of university too. Inshallah I'll be moving to USA in October. What things should I consider while filling the application. Also I'll be with my uncle, he'll be supporting me. Really confused

You have to decide if you are going to be going to CC and transferring (easiest route at this point) or applying as a Freshman and giving up your year of college. For international students in this situation we suggest CC and then transferring!
