So informative! Im working on my teaching license rn for the state/country i live in. I plan to hopefully apply to teach in Korea for fall 2022, after i’ve gotten my teaching license and some experience to make my resume look better; I already have a bachelors, experience working at a school, and I currently work at a clinic as a behavior technician teaching autistic kids social/play/life skills. Hey Karabo. Where did you hear this from if you don’t mind telling? Thing is, I had a consultation with one of the representatives of EPiK on Monday via Skype and he didn’t mention that to me. I guess he would at least have an idea because the government would have issued some kind of letters to them idk... This is kind of disappointing

In the EPIK Application Prep Guide, it mentions lesson plan worksheet/handout samples can be submitted and must be no more than 2 pages. Can you explain how, or where, to upload the samples to go along with your lesson plan?

You can just crop everything into an A4 word document so they can just see. It will be a separate document from your application form

I'm so glad I found your channel, this was sososo helpful! I also have a few shoulder tattoos on my left arm as well as one on my forearm on my left arm. I was getting a bit nervous that teaching programs like Epik won't consider me for the position since I have tattoos? They can and will be covered at all times of course but some older, online reviews were saying its unlikely that a person with visible tattoos will be hired?

Hi.. your grade 3s will be learning English for the first time from you and so you’ll be teaching ABCs and simple phrases I’ll go into detail once I post lesson plans. And the level gradually increases. Some students go to private English academy so they will understand you more. But in all your classes you’ll have a homeroom teacher who will translate if they don’t understand.

Hi no, only if it is a masters in any field or a teaching degree. You will start with the same pay scale as everyone .

Lol really detailed.. from start to finish. No I came here without one and bought one here . Your school gives you a computer so you can plan at work. I’d say also bring and invest in an external hard drive. So if you’re not finish you can go to a Computer room (they’re everywhere) to finish your work there. But I survived and think anyone can survive too.

Honestly thank you so much for this video, the applications so confusing so it's so good to be walked through it all! Does anyone also know if having a few ear piercings, a nose piercing and 3 small tattoos on my arm is a problem? I could easily put in clear piercings for when I'm actually teaching and sleeves will cover my tats, but I'm worried this would put schools off still? Thank you!! X

Get a letter from the school where you did grade 5 -7 then a letter from the High school you went 2. No you do not need a letter from UNI

I went to campus.. but she basically took all the marks from the start of your course to the end of your degree . Add them together and then divide it by the number of modules you did and multiply the answer by 100.
