Thank you gentlemen. !!! Before I saw your video, I wasted 2 plus hours trying to compress my rear piston. When I turned it, it just slid into place. Bless you and your families! :)

Thank you so much for the video! I have been trying to get my brake cylinder to go in for a hour until I watched your video and it took me less than 5 minutes! I used a pair of channelock pliers to screw mine in.👍🇺🇸

I used a C clamp and turned the piston with channel locks worked perfect. Thank you for video!

Good video. I didn’t have the tool and used vise grips locked onto a chisel to turn the caliper in. Worked great in a pinch!

You should be using that back plate provided so it doesn't keep popping off. Also the LEFT and RIGHT tool is NOT for left and right side on car. It is for left handed thread and right handed thread.

Bruh lol I've changed my front brakes about 2 or 3 times myself because I had 2 of the same car, I guess I always had the rear done because I got all the way down to the c clamp and it wouldn't go down even with the old brake inside of the caliper. I looked it up and found this video and now I have to apologize and take my knees out to dinner for wasting their time and quality 😂

Not trying to knock you or your helpful videos, but just so you know, white lithium grease/spray is a petroleum based product and will damage/swell the rubber boot & seals on the caliper piston. The proper grease/spray to use is a dab of silicone grease or spray. Silicone is rubber & plastic friendly.

Hi Piston brake won’t wind in, what should I do.
@johnmilner76032 жыл бұрын
2:47 you should use the tool properly. You forgot to add the flat metal plate that rests against the caliper and keeps the threaded rod straight and tight. This also will need to be tightened using the collar that is on the threaded rod.

Great video, so is it only needs to turn it clockwise? No need to press the Piston?
@ArcanePath3604 жыл бұрын
I turned mine clockwise and anti clockwise while pushing in. Seems to go in either way. Clockwise just seems easier because you're using your thumb part to exert more pressure. Just make sure the holes line up with the pins on the pads.

What if the pistol caliber is stuck n rusted?
@glennf53812 жыл бұрын
My caliper in great condition, no rust. Turning and turning, piston will not go down. Turned counterclockwise thinking maybe left hand thread, now piston completely out. Will not turn back down. Pulled e-brake lever and still will not turn down
@pcman876544 жыл бұрын
First that wasnt stuck at all, two you used your tool wrong
@Ttking10184 жыл бұрын
The needle nose pliers worked after all there was a little bit of build up around the bleed screw and it kept the fluid from releasing and was the reason I could not compress. After the fluid started coming out, the issue was gone. I would recommend checking/cleaning around the caliber.
@AmricanEagl Жыл бұрын
We all know that you have to turn the brake caliper clockwise to get it in, but how about if it’s not going inside what’s the solution here?

@@scottswanson133 thanks buddy, I figured it was a bad caliber which it was, so went ahead replaced both back, then few months later both front, now I'm looking to save up 250 for all 4 rotors and pads set but it's been already like 4 months and I just can't seem to get there.... right when I'm close something happens where I must use that money for something for important 😪🙄😒 Hopefully I'll get them soon because my rotors are shot and I'm praying they aren't screwing up my system and new-ish calibers
