The best video I have ever watched for the compression test. Clear and useful diction is in excellent harmony with nice picture, which are so informative for my work. Thanks so much.

Thanks for this video. I'm trying to figure out a problem on my Ural and plan to do a compression test. This made it really clear how to do it! Any plans on doing a video for a leakdown test?

Youre welcome, glad it helped. No plans for leak down test video in the NEAR future. Maybe someday Rocky mountain atv is a channel that has a decent leak down test videoi think

Is there any way to partially connect a removed engine to a bike on a bench to test, most parted out engines are "as is"
@nickbuchananracing3 ай бұрын
@@benbryson6598 if you mean to compression test it? Yea its easy. If it were me, id hook a jumper cable from the positive terminal of a battery directly to the starter terminal. Then connect the negative jumper wire from the engine mounting hardware (starter is grounded through the mounting hardware) to the negative terminal on the battery. It will spark when you complete the last part of the circuit and the starter will crank. No its not safe, but thats a way to do it.

When doing cylinder #1 do I leave the spark plug on cylinder #2 obviously with the boot off the spark plug so there is no spark
@nickbuchananracing7 ай бұрын
You should puĺl all the plugs out at once. That way there is no compression in the other cylinders that arent being tested, this will save your battery/starter from working too hard since youre only building pressure in the cylinder thats being tested. Thats always how ive done it.
