How to compute definite integrals using the FTC 1

Do we ignore C the constant of integration?

Yep, we do! Since it's constant, we get F(b)- F(a) = [F(b) + c] - [F(a) + c]. Notice that you'll get c - c = 0, so we pretty much ignore C (don't write it) as we know it'll always yield 0 when we subtract.
