Have always wondered how to do this properly. So useful.

I have my flowers delivered by the supplier and can't really choose them. So, sometimes I got them already bloomed meanwhile I still have a few days to send the bouquet. Anyway, thanks for the tips!

Does it damage the bark of the stems scrapping them as you do? Is it important get the cut stems into water ASAP?

Hi there, it’s a good idea after you create your bouquets, to put them in the fridge ?
@youngblooms Жыл бұрын
I guess it depends where you live in the world. I'm based in the Uk so don't need to use a cooler. If your in a hotter climate then certainly having a cooler is helpful. You need to be careful of temperature so using a kitchen fridge is not a good idea.

How many roses can I put in one glass? How thight can they sit? How much space do they need? What effect does it have, having them thight?

The reason you wrap them tight in paper is keep their heads closed and stop them blooming. I would only wrap them in paper like this before an event. Rose numbers would depend on size of vase/glass. If your conditioning then you want to make sure the stems have a good amount of water to drink from and also a good sized container to get support from. Thanks for your question! 😊😊

Hi, do you use a florist cooler? If so, where did you buy it?

I don’t have a cooler in my workshop as I’m based in the uk, though the weather is much hotter now.

My flowers arrived two days earlier than the event. How can I keep it fresh until the event? 2 days
@youngblooms3 жыл бұрын
If they are flowers like roses then wrap heads in brown paper, keep in clean water in bucket and store in cool dark room and they will be absolutely fine. Other flowers just don’t wrap in paper, keep in cool room in water and they should be fine. When I’m doing weddings, all my flowers come 2/3 days before wedding.

Could you show us what it looks like to wrap the flowers in brown paper?

putting flowers in water is really no brainer, we all do it. I think there is much more to conditioning flowers to last longer…
