So the reason why you can’t do the reset because your not using an IM608 only the im608 can do immo like this I own the 608s2 and did a module 2017 ford f150

It really depends on the system. The function will be there so you can give it try but if it doesnt work you need to use the FJDS with access credentials.

@@AutelConsultancy Because you have said you cannot do it without a locksmith license. I don't have friends to give me the authority so I would have to get a license. I am a small independent. I often get people with key problems. I have a maxi Sys Ultra. Just last week a guys son lost the only key while they were at the gas station. It happens, a lot of people here only have one key. I advise everybody to get at least one more key. It is a big problem with modern cars.

I dont know your situation in details as I would need to consult you to find out the vehicles you get in your shop that need key coding but even if you had a locksmith license , your tool is limited in its key coding functionality . Out of a scale of 1 to 5, I will give the key coding a 2.5 overall. If you just want to add keys to the system you can do this up to vehicle around 2014 but anything over you probably might no have that functionality and you wont be able to do any all keys lost. You could invest in a dedicated key coding tool from Autel as it will compliment your tool in the key coding coverage . And it doesnt require a locksmith license to use. On rare occasions like if you replace a BCM or Immo system on a ford and you need to gain security access you can book a diagnostic tool consultation with me for 97 usd and I can do it with you. If I sell you a tool and you need this services its 40 USD. Many of my clients who are in the auto repair business dont have locksmith licenses but since they have the right tool strategy and training they dont need to acquire one

I will get the details. But what is the problem in getting a license? I have a business and am a red seal licensed motor technician. The other car is a 2007 Ram Charger.

I have customers in Canada but I haven't investigated the process of getting a locksmith license in that region just because they never needed it to get the job done. Also it can be really expensive and alot of red tape you got to go through to get it with yearly fees. But again it depends on your local polices. What you can do is contact Napa with that information and see what they advise.
