how would you configure ms teams in qos (ports 50000:50059)? can you specify a portrange in sourceport?

I only get high latency on the upstream when I run a BB test on DSLreports (Grade F). Download is fine, just upstream. What can I do?

SandersCSclips I think that capping your speed using the router's built-in QOS can help reduce some of the excessive buffering. Try to find a good speed by using dslreports. Smart queue management is the thing that really helps improve your internet connection, but not many things have it. That is why I use IPFire.

n0mantech i can only cap my upstream and it helped ALOT but download buffer is still 1000ish but the upload is 10-20max it used to be 600+ yea ima setup an ipfire box, getting a 2nd nic would be tricky tho. an old core 2 duo e7500 and 4gb ram ok? my 4790k could prolly run it better in a vmware but im guessing it would work better with physical connectors lol.

SandersCSclips Yea that system seems strong enough. Physical NICs are good because there is overhead with using virtual machines. If you are choosing a second NIC, I would recommend an Intel Gigabit NIC. I've done testing with them. They are really good. They seem to provide less latency, require less CPU power, and are relatively inexpensive. It's best to use them for the WAN interface from my testing.
