If outdoor unit is 1.5 ton & indoor Units are 1 ton it can work, we install many like this..if outdoor unit is one ton and you put load of 2 ton initially it work but overloaded. It will take more Amps and burn compressor in few weeks. Same like Use car engine for bus.

No it will not you just have to put a bit of less refrigerant plus out door unit coils will be generating more heat so you have to cool them with vaporized air or just put them in cool area

In this type of project we have to use 5 star outdoor and cut off valves and accumulator and the gas pressure must be 85 to 90 when using big sige indoors in this pressure we have to use starting capacitors also , in this type of systems the rooms cool down only 26 diggers only because the outdoor turns off quickly due to over heating, one more thing there is no difference in electricity bill

Lol big they are also run tests to make it more efficient there is a reason of 1 ton evaporator have 1 ton compressor. Basically ur saying if my ac compressor is 0.5 ton and indoor unit is 2 ton it will benefit me for larger room worth two 2 ton. Where is match’s in this these is reason for compressor and evaporate is sized as 1 ton it has to Mach for long run use of-course will increase ur watts and amp no doubt if I’m wrong show us as amp and watts for 1 indoor and then 2 indoor unit with amps meter
