You can only do clip and clip. Unfortunately clip 3 doesn't support this feature. Only the clip 2.

Only clip 2 does this. I know it sucks. I went with the clip 2 over clip 3 for that reason. Clip 3 has slightly better audio quality in the bass region, but it can only go so loud. I like having two of these for the portability and how loud they can get when paired.

What JBL App do you use? The JBL Connect does not support the Clip line up.

I'll answer my own question, in case anyone else has same concern I contacted JBL and they confirmed there is no firmware update.. only can daisy-chain two Clip 2's via BT. Since then I have found that on Android, with BT 5.0 you can cast to 2 separate sources at once. I was able to link the 2 Clip 2's on one source and still connect my BT headphones on the other at same time. I have to order 2 more Clip 2's to complete my test, while they're still out there.. Extra portable music in all 4 corners on the cheap; there you have it.

One last update... I was able to get 4 clips to work via BT at the same time via BT5.0 DUAL AUDIO setting. There is just a wee bit of latency between the 4 clips if they are right next to each other but for my Hot Tub corners it is not an issue . Waterproof Surround sound for Jacuzzi for $120.oo new vs buying Jacuzzi upgrade for $2000 that probably sounds worse.
