HOW TO CONNECT 6PIN ARGB FAN DIRECTLY TO 3/4PIN CONNECTOR ON MOTHERBOARD

BE CAREFULL! I'm not sure that all kind of 6pin PC fans have same pinout sequence! In this video I'm talking about AIGO AR12 ARGB FAN 6pin connector. In different fan manufacturers and motherboard manufacturers pinouts may be defferent!

is it possible to have the light and the fan work with this method? My mother board has 4 pin, GND, FAN PWR, FAN IN, and FAN PWM. its an Asus Prime B550M-K. Thanks

Its probably possible only with modification of fan (connector or PCB, I'm not sure). Without any modifications - its impossible to power on led light and rotation from 4pin connector from motherboard

You can order proper Aigo controller on AliExpress.. Manufacter recommend to use only original Aigo controllers for this fans. Quote: "Reminder: The fan and controller of this product are only compatible with and support the AIGO brand AR series cooling fan products, but there is no guarantee that they can be compatible with other brands of products." But I think you can find same type of controller, not only made by Aigo. Because on Ali you cant buy controller without fans, only as set (3 fans + 1 controller)..

No, u cant connect 6pin fan to 4pin-pinout fanhub, without modification of 6pin fan connector.. Its impossible just to plug 6pin fan into 4pin fanhub..

Если контроллер на 6 пин, а кулер на 4 пин для материнки и отдельный 3 пин провод pwm для подсветки, его можно в контроллер подключить через переходник или ещё как-то? Чтобы с пульта вместе с корпусными кулерами одинаково светились?

Так сходу я не могу сказать. Нужно брать документацию на контроллер и на кулер ваш, и смотреть в ней распиновку. Если там всё нормально, то можно переделать под 6пин контроллер. Но это надо изучать пинауты контролера и кулера.

По идее, с материнки 4пин ваш кулер берет питание и землю (12в + земля), а с 3пин берет сигналы о цвете светодиоднов.. Значит это всё, по идее, можно собрать воедино и подключить к 6пин контроллеру. Но это ПО ИДЕЕ! Я не изучал вопрос, и изучать не стану, мне лень. Но я думаю, вы справитесь и сами 😌

This is clever but has it occurred to you that if you click with a screwdriver you can actually remove the pins from the plug, I haven't tried it yet, but "transplant" them to a 4 pin plug could work? These first 2 are gnd and 12v, What is the pin to PWM in 6 pin fan?

Speed of this kind of fans not adjustable. So there is no PWM signal, u cant change speed of rotation. Fan works in regular speed.

Exist few kinds of agrb fans, some of them with adjustable speed, some of them not (like this one in video). Adjustable usually comes with 5+4 or 4+3 separate connectors..

Thanks bro I'm new to using This fan Now I relized there is no pwn in it, ended up cutting the wires and attaching them to the molex 12v , Works Fine but no leds. Wonder if I could turn the leds on but doenst matter really.

There is no proper pins on motherboard for 3pins connection, because pinout is deferent. I guess if you connect 3 pins then nothing happen, LED will not lights up, I think

I think it's working on normal speed, because same 12v comes from a fan hub, same 12v comes from motherland. I don't think that from a fan hub speed will be faster.
