I have a Buttkicker Gamer Plus, it was one of my favorite purchases for my rig, I even use it for the space sim I play. I was thinking of adding an additional base shaker but set up like this, and mount it under my pedal plate, so this is a great guide for it.
@TraumaTeamRacing2 жыл бұрын
Glad you found it useful mate! Isn't the Buttkicker gamer plus a 90 watt shaker!?? 😍😍😍 This way I think works out a bit cheaper than the Buttkicker stuff I think.
@SN3Gaming_2 жыл бұрын
@@TraumaTeamRacing Yup it's 90 watts, but I'm pretty sure the 50 watt set up will cost waaaaaay less, which makes it easier to get another bass shaker.
@TraumaTeamRacing2 жыл бұрын
Waaaayyy less. I remember doing the math. Considering I think that buttkicker amp will only power one shaker. Its a good product but I think perhaps a bit steep in price. Would love to give it a go though to compare 😅

Great info for us that have never installed a shaker on a sim rig, If I'm not mistaking are those RCA inputs on the back of that mini amp? If so seems it would be better to use copper RCA jacks 2 positive and 2 negative that way you are sure to separate the signals with a much better sound and use that method for your quick disconnects? Might not really matter for just a bass. I happen to have some left over copper jacks that would work in this case.
@TraumaTeamRacing Жыл бұрын

You are very welcome 👍🏻 My current solution is to run a separate sound card and I still run 3 Nobsound amps just to power the shakers at present. I have not been able to find an amp/sound card combo with the correct specs that would allow what you are suggesting unfortunately.

Six bass shakers under your seat? How do they perform? As one big ass shaker or did you assign different effects to individual shakers? And do you feel a difference between left and right?
@TraumaTeamRacing2 жыл бұрын
4 under the seat and then 2 straddling the pedals on the left and right. Everything has different things assigned so the effects don't get 'muddy'. I think on solid frames it is very difficult to differentiate between left and right as it just tends to conduct it to all of it. You get a more definitive feel for front/back separation and certainly more of a left and right at the front. The more effects you've got going through one shaker it just loses definition I think.
@YoastZilla2 жыл бұрын
@@TraumaTeamRacing i agree. Currently I have a bass pump III directly attachted to the bottom and a Dayton puck on the left and right of the seat. I have rumblers on my pedals. The pucks give great left and right sensations. However i would really like to have a bass shaker on the back of the seat as well. For some serious lower back massages 😁
@TraumaTeamRacing2 жыл бұрын
@@YoastZilla That sounds like a really awesome set up to be fair. To be honest if I could have somehow got those pucks into my seat I would have done it. I think having them in direct contact with you is the only way to get that separation👌🏻Wire up one of these 50 watt bad boys and you should be set💪🏻 Won't break the bank either😅

In terms of what you have felt, is this a better option than the 90w Buttkicker (getting 2 of the daytons potentially) and custom mounting them to my rig? I wouldn’t really want them on my pedals, just on the seat for RPM’s and road feel.
@TraumaTeamRacing Жыл бұрын
To be completely transparent I have never tried a 90w Buttkicker and would love to get my hands on one. However with that in mind I would still go for more of the 50 watt shakers rather than a singular 90 watt. If you can afford multiple 90 watt ones and also have room to mount them all the power to you. The thing you need to bear in mind is the signal and details getting lost by having to many things fed through it. Even if you have more power to one singular unit, if you send 3 signals to it (road bump, rpm and gear change for example) that still unit still needs to create definition for each one potentially all at the same time. You are going to get much better clarity for an individual shaker handling a single effect. For mounting the more you can get the more you can play with effect separation. I have 4 mounted to my seat and 2 to the pedal deck. I have a video on the mounting if you wish to check it out: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nJuUhmyKidJ8eLc I would mount one near your feet personally so you can feel ABS and some road bumps there. I enjoy it and adds to the immersion a bit. Ultimately this is all personal preference and there is no right answer. Hope that helps you👍🏻

For these shakers I had no issues and a larger guage wire would have struggled to fit. Increase the wire guage if you feel more comfy. I use a large guage for the Aura Sound shakers because they can take it.

Is there a way to make this work with consoles aka simhub work around?
@TraumaTeamRacing11 ай бұрын
I am afraid not. SimHub relies on telemetry data which you cannot get out of the console I believe. You would also need a PC to program it. The Next Level Racing haptic seat would work but in my opinion far too expensive. Link below. amzn.to/3twNO1q
