How To connect an Apple iPod, iPhone to your Aux jack on a MERCEDES BENZ C CLASS

Hi, this 'How To' video shows you how to connect your Apple iPod, iPhone, MP3 or mobile phone to a 2012 Mercedes Benz C class (W204) to allow you to play your music through the cars speakers. Others cars will have a similar setup.

Monkey Magic you can't play música threw the USB cable because it's Made for data not sound thats why he uses an aux cord

Hi there.. I havs a 2010 c350 and it doesnt come with the aux. I learned that i need a different one with the 8 or 8 pin connector. Does it have to a mercedes one ir a generic one will work fine. Thanks

Can the music not be played via the Bluetooth connection that you use for the phone calls?

The people I know who has a Mercedes Benz uses the Bluetooth ability that way, but some devices may not have Bluetooth ability (Ex. - If someone still have a old school tape recorder, mp3, cd player, ect.), or some cars may not have the Bluetooth feature.

I have this car, 2014 but the connector in the console in the middle of the two front seats isn't a 3.5 jack it's an ipod connector. My nano doesn't have bluetooth so I need to connect using a cable but I can't work out if the ipod connector is on one end, what should be on the other end?

Hi, yes you need to connect it to the headphone (earphone) jack. If you want calls then connect via Bluetooth (which you can also use for music). See my other videos for connecting via Bluetoooth for music and phone. Thanks.

Hi, I think the facelift was done in 2011 so if your dashboard looks like the one in the video then it should work the same. If you have the pre facelift model (2008-2011) then I think your 3.5mm aux jack is in the glove box (Glove Compartment).Thanks.

Hey thanks for the video, unfortunately i got a w204 with the same dash layout as yours but where you see you’re Aux input in the car, I have a weird port that almost looks like an sd card slot but not aux. However if i go on video settings, it does give me the option for aux and dvd to watch videos. I also checked my glove box and it’s not there? Is there any way it’s anywhere else or is it that my car doesn’t support it, despite the fact that it gives me the aux input option on the infotainment system?

@@alanhart821 We are all in the same boat. After extensive research I realized that we have to buy something called an "AMI AUX Adapter" for it to work. I'm currently struggling with installing an android screen for my car but can't connect it because I don't have an AUX port. I pulled every hair I have on my head but that was the conclusion I got to.

+S.D.Photography You may have the sound on the Ipod/mobile half way or on low. If you up the sound to max on the ipod etc. then the car speakers sound should be pretty similar to the sound on the radio/cd.

look in the glove box. In a RHD car, the jack socket is on the far left. Then select aux from your radio menu.
