You basically answered all my questions. I'm going to need 2 adapters for what I need. The USB-c => Trrs AND the Trrs splitter. Although I think that some Usb-C=>Trrs splitters exist. Might make it easier for those who need to connect an external microphone and a headphone. Thanks a lot !

So I saw other videos about this setting but the microphone doesn't connect on social media platforms. So if i wanted to record or go on live on Instagram or tiktok it doesn't work.

I haven't tried it but I"m guessing you'd need to find that setting to switch it in the software where you're streaming. This was the native app on my pixel using the built in camera. I wonder if you open the camera app, switch it, then open tiktok or instagram if it'd keep using it?

Can you explain how to connect a wireless mic!??? I have a wireless mic combo and it works on my brothers s20 ultra but it doesn't work at all on my P8P. I tried everything. But with his its plug and play, but with the P8P the phone doesn't even react to it at all. As if nothing has been plugged in. With the samsung it shows a usb icon indicating it has been connected. OTG works fine, but plugging the receiver on the usb of the P8P does nothing and I can't use OTG cause the receiver shuts off and goes to charge mode.

I would but i really never use wireless mics. Thought about trying the DJI but the poor audio quality discouraged me from any consumer quality wireless systems. Sorry I can't be of more help. You may want to check some P8P user forums.

Thank you it is funny, I have a pixel 8 Pro also, but it doesn't show me the option of Microphone (phone mic) at all. do you know why? if you have the same phone it should be the same, right? it is weird..

Is it possible you have a carrier branded phone and they crippled something? Mine is the unlocked version, I can put in any sim card and use any carrier. Not sure if that could be a difference but you see what I do in the video. The only hassle i find is it doesn't keep the default to the external mic or use it when it's plugged in, it always goes back to the internal mics. Make sure your phone is detecting your microphone too, if it isn't I could see it now showing an option that isn't hooked up.

i didnt work for my Google Pixel 8 Pro. i have all of this cables but it doenst work. i didnt even have the Option, on my phone, to select between those diffrent mic types, in the settings. if i use the same setup on my freakn old xiaomi 10 it works instant. im getting crazy xD

I saw a few others said the same, I wonder if it's the phone or perhaps the particular mic it's not seeing properly. I bought the unlocked phone direct from google not through my carrier.
