I do not have any problem to connect a Rode USB-microphone to my iPad 10 but then the loudspeakers of the iPad do not work anymore. What is going wrong here? The same happens when I use the iPad as a tuner and connect a clip contact microphone for tuning to the iPad. As long as this microphone is connected the loudspeaker does not work. (For example when I first use the tuning app for tuning and then the same app as a metronome which makes sound.)

I just ordered it It works perfectly but it only works on the app garage band but it doesn’t work on other apps What should I do?!! (It could be because when I connect the mic the speaker stops working so I put in my AirPods but maybe the other apps are only detecting the AirPods and using the AirPod mic instead so how do I get the mic to work without having to put headphones on? )

If you mean to monitor the audio as you record you would need a breakout cable so you can plug headphones in at the same time

Yes the charging cable is stopping your ipad or iphone running out of charge. If you need to power the mic you need to use the USB hub trick that I show towards the end of the video

I have a Rode NT + usb mic. I want to directly connect to my iPhone . The cable won’t allow me to. So I bought an adapter . Still nothing . Then I bought a lighting adapter still. Nothing . Now I got just an Apple direct on one end to the mic and the other end directly to the iPhone and still no power . I’m Confused now and frustrated. I turned on monitor and was able to do vocal testing on the mic but if coarse was getting echo feedback . I don’t have headphones yet . I wonder if that would solve the problem? I thought the iOS would detect my mic or I can find in a settings somewhere to turn on the usb mic I garage band on iPhone but I guess not .

Without knowing your exact setup this would be really hard for me to pin down, and going live from an iPad is not something I have done in a long time, I normally use a computer which makes this really easy. But the first thing I would look at if I was you is what are you using for your headphones, since you've got a mic plugged into the USB-C port I'm guessing your headphones are connecting via Bluetooth?

You need a mic that has a headphone jack. There are mics that you can plug an earphone to it so you can hear the other people. If your mic doesnt have a headphone jack then use a bluetooth speaker so you can hear the other people when your in vcall.
