Hi!! This video helped me lot ! I have one doubt though. I have 5.1 speaker system that has optical input as well as aux but my projector only has coaxial output. If i use adc will i be able to get better sound quality through an optical cable?

I’m not sure if you can help me but hopefully you can, so I have a pair of Astro a 50 now to get the full use of everything on ps5 ppl have been connecting the Optical Cable from the bay station to the tv/monitor and the usb into the ps5 BUT my monitor doesn’t have a place to plug my Optical Cable so would someone like this work? Or is this only for speakers also is there a analog to digital converter that runs 5.1ch

HI AC. to answer your last question, it would need to have 6 rca audio ports on the input side and I've never seen a converter like that. As for your first question, I had to look up what an Astro A 50 was and from the looks of it, you're connecting your PS5 optical cable into it + you want to connect the optical output to your tv - which doesn't have that port. So, yes a converter is what you'll need in between the two. Make sure it's called Digital to Analog. Does your tv indeed have audio in ports? They would be called AV IN or Audio in.

@@SimpleCafeE thank you for your time! But 2 things sadly my monitor doesn’t seem to have an av in just HDMI, DP 1.4, USB C and A, and an aux port. I was thinking I could connect optical cable to converter to aux. and the other thing originally you would connect the optical cable from the headphone base station to the PS5 but the ps5 does no have one and there are ways around that BUT it takes a hit at frame quality And the way around this is to connect your optical cable show me your Bay station to monitor but mine doesn’t have one so I was hoping in short the optical cable to converter and aux to monitor would work.

I think that this may solve my issue. I have an RCA TV that has an (RCA to Aux) Cord and a Optical Output for my speakers... I need something to convert the input from the Aux and covert it to Optical. If you see this please let me know if I am thinking of this correctly. Thank you

Yes sir.. I have same issue like you.. Anybody can help.. I use AUX port from the tv then the cable connected to Ana to Digi converter then port in optical cable to speaker bar.. Its not working.. The speaker bar i use a model Samsung T420

If i were you I’d just connect directly with aux because it will take care of your two.1 channels. You don’t need a converter.
