Iban glad it helped. I will have to look at the video myself since I haven’t flown the Tello in 2 years now, since the pandemia started and I want to fly it again and without the WiFI repeater doesn’t fly as well.

most people dont know about that wifi but its super good, But when xiaomi did its last update in 2020 year end, it was taken out of the xioami home app for some reason i just dont No??

It is a great drone. It flies far, high and it’s easy to control. It has a lot of gadgets like extra batteries, WiFi extender, remote control and so for. And it is not expensive

Benedict Arkorful without the Wi-Fi repeated it normally goes for 70 meters, the fastest I took it was 100 meters. With the extender it goes 150 meters (I have another video that shows how far it goes). The important thing about the repeater is that it gives you great reception at 30 meter height and great video feed.

can i use any wifi-repeater (Mi repeater 2, tp link or others) with wifi-fpv camera only (except any drone) for extending range. Because Tello wifi need password whereas single wifi fpv camera don't need any password. Thank you.

Yes I believe you can use any Wifi repeater but all the repeaters repeat and amplify the signal therefore you will need a WiFi password in your Tello. However, you can turn off the WiFi password in your Tello so a password will not be required.

Calvin Bernard our of the bat, I don’t think so. However, there are programs out there that allow you to configure different controllers to work with the TELLO. But I don’t have time to investigate since mine works Ok

Not sure you actually understand what a repeater does!!! it would provide limited benefit using the repeater the way you are when it is right next to you vs connecting your phone directly to the Tello wifi. the repeaters signal strength would be marginally better than you phones. What you would benefit from is if you located the repeater away from you say 3o metres for example. Then you would actually increase the range as the device is acting as a repeater between you and the Tello which is a repeaters purpose. Of course this is of little value if you want to increase the height from the ground of the Tello as you cannot physically get the repeater into the air between the tello and you on the ground :)

I have another video which shows you the distance improvement. I took it up to 130-150 meters. Is it with it? Nooooo!!! Since you will loose the drone. I bought the repeater for two things mainly (1) when you take it above 15-20 meters in heights the signal is very stable (2) you get a much better video feed, it eliminated the video choppiness. I don’t care that much about the distance since after 50-60 meters you are not able to see the little baby.

No. Once it is connected for the first time the following connections are automatic as long the WiFi repeater is turned on
