Connecting a Google Form to a Google Sheet is a straightforward process. Here’s how you can do it:
Step 1: Create Your Google Form
1. Go to [Google Forms](forms.google.com).
2. Click on the *Blank* form or choose a template.
3. Add your questions and customize the form as needed.
Step 2: Link to Google Sheets
1. Once your form is set up, click on the *Responses* tab at the top.
2. You’ll see a green Sheets icon (it looks like a spreadsheet). Click on it.
3. A dialog will pop up asking if you want to create a new spreadsheet or select an existing one:
Create a new spreadsheet: This will create a new Google Sheet that will automatically collect responses.
Select existing spreadsheet: Choose this if you want to link the form to an already existing Google Sheet.
4. Click Create or Select as appropriate.
Step 3: Access Your Responses
1. Once linked, you can view the responses in the Google Sheet. Each new response will automatically populate the sheet in real-time.
2. The first row of the sheet will include the questions from your form, and each subsequent row will include the responses.
Step 4: Managing Your Form and Sheet
You can always revisit the Responses tab in the Google Form to see response summaries, individual responses, and settings.
To unlink the form from the sheet, go to the Responses tab, click on the three dots (more options), and select Unlink form.
