What I take home " good networking is not abt building business transactions but building goid relationships". I agree with all you said. We make networking seem like we just need to connect with people in order to use them to help us get what we want, instead of networking with the mindset of learning from and helping each other

People are people - be nice to everyone and try to treat everyone with respect, and you'll be in good shape. Influential people are PEOPLE first! How awesome would it be if everyone looked for how we could help others first - "influential" or not? 😀

Good points made on networking. When I interact in my line of work, people will appreciate that I understand the subject matter, listen, and ask questions. I would definitely like to hear more on the subject. 👍

Excellent. I’ll think of what else I think might be helpful in this topic... thank you

Also, many people just don't have the social skills that it takes to communicate with other kinds of people or just people in general. Maybe you can make a video that helps people to practice or acquire some social skills, perhaps politicians today could benefit from it also. 😂

Hmmm good idea. I’ll work on that video! 🖖

When you were both talking about only wanting to hang out with people based on numbers - 💯💯 I HATE that. We are all people. Wanting to know someone based on the amount of people that follow them....just seems so shallow

Yooo I feel you. I don’t base it on followers but rather quality. If it’s a quality person or someone who makes quality things then that’s most important to me!
@zackatk776 жыл бұрын
^ Absolutely! Quality people produce quality relationships. Authenticity is such a key component to networking.

Seven contacts with the individual is required to close the deal. That is the age-old salesman rule-of-thumb.
@redromina5 жыл бұрын
The rule of seven, I feel like, was something that used to work. Now I think it has doubled. There is more exposure to people and things today so I don’t feel like 7 is enough.

It’s the truth. Most people ask horrible questions that don’t ignite any kind of conversation or curiosity. He actually went on to explain the importance of crafting smart questions but I cut that out because it was too long for this video. I’m going to make another video that is exclusively about that.
@brainsareus6 жыл бұрын
@@redromina yes, but it's for another to decide. it's bad form, to pat oneself on the back like that. it's like an actor saying, "wasn't that a great performance by me in that movie?".

@@redromina I missed the whole context, so, I may have bleeped up. I'm sorry
