interesting to see how things are done in other parts of Africa. In the part of Africa I live in, the commonly used term is Septic tank. Only houses sitting on plot sizes exceeding 3000 square metres are allowed to to have septic tanks, anything smaller should be connected to the municipal sewer system. Where septic are allowed, the tank should be 4m length, 2m width and 2m depth. The soaker way should be at least 2m away from the septic tank and should be 2m x 2m x 2m. The placement of the pipe to the saoker way, in the septic tank should be 0.5m from the top of the soaker way so that it gets to drain into the soaker way when its 0.5m from getting full

Digesters dont product gas .. We have biogas which has a different way of installing
