Southern root knot nematode can inflict serious damage to soybean crops, resulting in significant yield loss. Existing control options for root knot nematode are limited and often expensive.
Plant pathologists from a group of mid-southern US research centers, including the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture and the U of A at Monticello among others, are working to find sustainable nematode control options for farmers. One option that has shown promise is selective nematicide application in areas most affected by nematode.
We will be moving to new digital homes at uaex.uada.edu (extension) and aaes.uada.edu (research).
