I guess I needed more practice. I'm always nervous in sewing the first/last stitches and doing the back stitch to secure the ends... I could not get the right slow pressure in the foot pedal and I end up stitching beyond the notch 🤣🤣

Some machines do a couple extra stitches after you stop. Try it out on some scrap. If you know how many stitches it does, you can allow for it

I can drive no problem, but my pedal seems to be 0, 5, and 200.

It's more likely to be a problem with the set up of the machine rather than the speed. Check that it is threaded correctly and that the bobbin is in correctly
