How to control weeds in Mung bean || Weed Management in Mung bean || Crop Reformer

Weeds sometimes may lead to complete failure of mung bean crop if they are not properly managed well in time. Instead of cultural control or mechanical methods weedicides are considered as a better tool of weed control. Pre and post emergence herbicides may be sprayed for this purpose. Out of pre emergence tested in the Plant Physiology Section Ayub Agricultural Research Institute include Stomp 455 g/L CS-FMC (pendimethalin), Dual gold 960 EC-Syngenta Pakistan (S metolachlor) and mixed formulations of these herbicides. In this video, under the light of research, we have suggested to use Stomp 455 g/L CS-FMC @ 1000 ml or Dual gold 960 EC-Syngenta Pakistan @ 800 ml or mixed formulations of these herbicides for pre emergence weed control in mungbean crop.
We have also suggested post emergence herbicides viz. Conquest 24 EC (lactofen) Evyol group @ 100-200 ml/acre or Terror (Fumisafen) Warble for broad leaved weeds especially Hogweed or Itsit (Trianthema portulacastrum) and Percept 10 EC (Haloxyfop methyl) Evyol group @ 300-350 ml or G max lite 15 EC (quizalofop methyl) Tara group @ 250 ml/acre for the control of grassy weeds like Egyptian grass or Madhana (Dactyloctenum aegyptium). Tank mixed application of broad leaved and grassy weeds herbicides at the same time may be avoided to escape phytotoxicity.
Purple nut sedge or Deela (Cyperus rotundus) may also be controlled selectively from the standing crop through the spray of Orcus or Halt 80 WDG (halosulfuron methyl) Evyol group @ 15-20 gram per acre.
