Lachlans instructional technique is the #1 on KZbin and anywhere I have seen in person. He can teach the exact same thing as other videos but his details are what really make practitioners better! I wish i lived in Australia and could train with him. Maybe once i finish Physical Therapy here ill take a visit down unda!

This is my favorite grip and place to attack from. Even with their head inside like a Kimura seat belt it's total control 👍

This is great video! I use double wrist locks all the time for positional movements. You can use double wrist locks on all kinds of movements, not just on the wrist, but you can use them for bottom armbars too on the biceps. The back attack shown is actually better if you go double wristlock to backside armbar. The reason why is because the natural movement of the opponent is turned into you. Blocking the head with leg v the body lock is a lot more natural of movement for the bottom player. Lastly, the biggest problem with near side double wrist locks in side control is that it is very natural for the opponent to peel the fingers off. If you have a stronger opponent, even if you leverage the attack, they will still peel the fingers. In my opinion, the best double wrist locks are done for the bottom not as submission base but as a sweep to move to mount. In all though, any time a double wrist lock is implemented, it forces the opponent to defend, and it usually is low-risk for the positional game. In other words, the one defending the double wrist will either end up in a worse position or the same position, usually never a better position. Where with other submissions, a lot of times you can end up in worse positions. One of the many reasons Judo banned double wrist locks years ago.

Whenever I try the backtake my legs always end up too high round my training partners shoulders (mainly the leg that goes behind the head). This enables them to get to their knees and stack me. I don’t feel as though I am falling to my back and my legs seem to be in the same position as shown in the video. I’ve watched this video dozens of times to try and figure it out. Any advice?
