I have a 2019 YZ250 with E&C conversion kit. Bike is awesome and super fun to ride. The stealth factor is super useful!

Nice commentary! I’m gonna do this but with an old 250 frame!

@@tannerisms thank you! You definitely should do it! I partly think an older steel frame would have been easier for me since I could have welded mounting tabs to the frame. I don’t have an aluminum welder yet..

@@reliance2598 it really is. The battery is really what drives up the cost. The motor and controller are surprisingly not too bad. If only Starks weren’t $10k+

Awesome choice as a rolling chassis, & good choice going with Electro & Co. If you need any help sourcing anything, or need help trouble shooting, i do testing/R&D for ebike/e motos, & could point you in the right direction, the FB groups are really the best source of information. I got a Rwarr Mantis on Monday, the full size 1,& it's linear power delivery & instant throttle response IS ADDICTIVE, i can ride it on the roads here in Reno to get to the dirt or sand, & don't get harassed, ebikes/e motos are the future, I'm 49yo & closely see it. What's the specs on this?

Hey thanks! I have some work to do on the chassis. The shock is not 100%. I am planning on getting it rebuilt and every bearing in the wheels and swing arm are crunchy.. Easy fixes though. The specs are 76V, 40aH battery. The motor is labeled as 28kW on Electros website.

@ I had a 13T and a 52T in the rear. According to Strava I got 40mph without a big long straight stretch. I have since moved to a 50T in the rear but I may move to a 48 or 49T for more speed. There is plenty of torque with the 50T. The 52T was extreme torque. Unfortunately, I don’t have a good estimate yet of the ride time. I rode it for 30 minutes with a 40ah battery the other day before I broke my welded bracket so I stopped.

The drive train with a motor and chain on an electric bike sounds really annoying, a hub motor is much quieter, but of course theres draw backs to hub motors too 👍

You may have said it, but what size motor and battery did you get?
@esteemmoto1213Ай бұрын
I went with the QS138 V3 motor which claims a max of 35,000KW which is about 46HP. But that is typically a short peak of power. The controller peaks at 28kW which is 37HP. The battery is 40Ah. I do wish I would have went to a bigger battery like a 60 or 70ah. At the time I just was trying to balance the cost vs. the Ah and the physical size of the battery.

@@lscstudios4637 $3,300 for the motor, controller, battery, wiring harness, throttle, grips, on/off switch, and power mode switch.I found the frame on Facebook marketplace for $600.

To simply try it. You'll learn a lot. You will mess some things ups, you'll fix them and then the second one will be a breeze.

@esteemmoto121315 күн бұрын
Well it would have been nice to have a band saw to make it nice but I just used a thin 4” cutting blade for a right angle grinder. I had to go in at different directions because the wheel was so small. It was mostly a hack job that I’m not real proud of haha
