How to convert a halogen floor lamp to LED

The former Halogen bulb was a fire hazard due to the amount of heat it put off, and used up an insane amount of energy. The new LED panel is much safer and more efficient.
Do not try this at home unless you absolutely know what you are doing or have experience working with electrical components. I am not responsible if you try this and damage your lamp or injure yourself or someone else.

People who need bright indirect light to reduce eye strain LOVE halogen floor lamps and they are nearly impossible to find now. If you don’t want your old halogen lamps, just sell them to one of us!

i have now 4 of them and i prefer to keep the original sockets and they developped leds that fit in the halogen ceramic sockets and personally i prefer to keep them halogen this design with the green plastic glass is extremly rare and the authentic models are nearly impossible tou found , the original model is made by tensor in the 1980s the dimmers as spare in case the dimmer burns they can be found in internet , westek dimmers are the best to found , the lamps are designed in the US but are made in china and the work is awesome and i repaired many of them as a hobby

Issue for me is the LED replacement you used is only 1/3 the lumens of a 300 watt halogen (5000 lumens). Have you found a comparable LED light to use for conversion that will give about 5000 lumens?
