My apology to trouble you and It's might be impossible, but are there any ways I can have the specs of these fixed hub converter kits (especially the fixed hub adopter) so I can them CNC machined (by local shop) for my Spinergy wheel? (Buying one from online is more convenient but insanely high import tax).

Good video I still have spinergy rev x from 1999 and still ride on them and took care of em all these years they are in good condition. I have very minor crack on blade. A carbon blade got a minor chip while I was degreasing the chain it’s not major and no cracks at the rivets. I was cranking the pedal running the chain through my degreaser and the blade hit the degreaser contraption yesterday on my Cannondale R800. What epoxy would you use to make sure it stays safe? Can I get the stuff I need from Ace Hardware? Any help is greatly appreciated I love these rims and don’t want to retire them.

After I removed all the bolts from the axel, the axel does not slide off.

Have you tried tapping it out with a hammer? It might be that the axel is slightly stuck in the non drive side bearing….

Hi. For the fixed conversion the drive side bearing is a 6901 type bearing otherwise the standard bearings which come original with the Spinergy Rex X is type "R8"

Do you have a video on how the non drive side waas disassembled?does the non drive side easy to uninstall? Because I need to replace.my hub. Thanks.

Hi Angelo. Do you mean removing the non drive side bearing? If so this is easy. Once you have removed the axle and the free hub body, just reverse the axle slide it back in the drive side until you meet resistance. Then using a mallet, gently tap the axle to remove the non drive side bearing. The bearing type is NSK R8D.

So I already got the adapter, i’m hopping I could just buy the axle !

This wouldnt be possible due to the body of the hub having a spline (see 2m 18s). That plus different bearings and axle kit. Quite often some front wheels pop up on Facebook Marketplace and eBay

5:40 I don't think it's the best idea to reuse a cup-and-cone style hub cone from original freebody to pair with a sealed bearing on non drive side. To extend of my knowledge, hub cones from cup-and-cone hubs and sealed bearing hubs aren't really made to be compatible with each other.

I don’t think so but it depends what is revealed when you take the free hub body off. If it looks like the one in the video when removed then the converter will work.

Is there another way to get the wheel to fit a track frame , the axle is to long and the non Brice side doesn’t have a bolt on thread ? Can I just replace the able with a shorter threaded one ?

There isn’t an axle that runs all the way through that can be changed. The non-drive side has a spacer insert and on the drive side there is a cone lock nut which acts as the frame insert. I don’t believe there is any other way to make this wheel compatible with a track frame drop out. 👍🏻
