For everyone receiving an error when trying to install pyinstaller: I did some research and it appears that pyinstaller has code that most anti-virus software believes is a malicious trojan. I am almost certain it is a false positive (that's what everyone online has been saying) and that you can deactivate your anti-virus software briefly and the download will work. However, even though I'm pretty certain pyinstaller is safe I'm not going to fuck around and find out, I'm going to search for another way to turn script into an .exe Thank you for the video though, very useful and I'm sure I will use this method if pyinstaller fixes this issue with the next update.

Joke aside, yeah anything you type in the search bar+enter will execute the first program that starts with that name CMD, Command, etc. Also WINDOWSKEY(Super if youre used to Linux)+R will open the run window. "Convert" Compile: am I a joke to you?
@treym2k4 жыл бұрын
@WhiteHatHacking I think python is a good language but it's better suited for tasks that don't require efficiency. People try to use python for everything these days pushing it to do something it's not meant to. You should look into Golang it has a simple type script like python but is staticky typed. Meaning a lot less runtime errors that should of been caught at compile time. And best part it compiles like a c language. Its speed is very comparable to C++
@thingsiplay4 жыл бұрын
Pyinstaller does not compile. It just packages the Python source code with the Python interpreter (plus other files) into an executable archive. If you want compile Python code, then look for Nuitka.
@treym2k4 жыл бұрын
@@thingsiplay in my opinion if you need to compile you shouldn't be using python in the first place. Python is meant to be a simple quick yet powerful language. Its not built to replace C languages.
@thingsiplay4 жыл бұрын
@@treym2k I don't agree with you. Building applications with Python is very easy and fast and for someone who is good in Python, but not in C, it makes totally sense to use it like a compiled programming language too. With Nuitka it can be compiled to native C code. Although the files are very big. It depends on the use case. I am currently creating an application in Python for myself and decided to distribute it for others too, because it is useful for others. For those who don't have Python and all other requirements, they can just download these bundled and compiled versions with PyInstaller and Nuitka. I do not need to learn and rewrite the Python program in C.
@treym2k4 жыл бұрын
@@thingsiplay if performance isn't important to you than you're right there is no issue with that. But every language has its strengths and this use case is not pythons strength. If you want a simple type script and cross platform capability like python but want the speed of C there is Golang, I personally don't like to limit myself to one language as every language has its advantages and disadvantages but more often than not the projects I'm seeing being made in python run horribly slow becuase that languages capabilities are being pushed. Python is best for automating small to medium sized tasks and it thrives at that.

do not use -w(used for not showing command prompt) in the command , and then run your .exe file ,and now in the command window check the errors (if any)

Is there any way to put the images/resources in the exe using pyinstaller itself. Without creating an installer? Thanks for the awesome video.....!!

@yousefkammouneh65595 жыл бұрын
you need a newer version of pyinstaller, use this in cmd and it should work: pip install github.com/pyinstaller/pyinstaller/archive/develop.tar.gz

Thank you! I wanted to make an executable file without console window, so I tried converting .pyw to .exe, but it didn't work. "-F" also tells pyinstaller to make everything in one file, doesn't it?
