But bluetooth speakesr all seam tobe mono with no seperation distance either. Thats why I abbed BT internally on my home Hi fi, and taped 5v from the 12v internal feed from transformer, through 5v regulator with filtering capacitors on a small stipboard, all tucked away inside the old hifi case, a small switch on the rear to control the 5v, and wired a jack cable internally from Auxillary input on the rear of the hifi, and plugged it into the BT board, held inside the case with adhesive foam tape. All easilly reversable, and totally internal. Way better than a BT speaker with my 240 W RMS stereo and subs thank you.

Also you can use the famous regulator 7805 instead of old charger in order to supply the bluetooth device from the main Ac transformer of speaker. 7805 very tiny item and perfectly give 5 volts with zero noise especially with two filters stages.

After reading all of the negative comments here I am to clarify what's he actually doing in this video.. 1. He has old wired standard 3.5mm jack speaker laying around his house... 2. So he bought the Bluetooth receiver to turn his old wired speaker into Bluetooth enabled speaker... 3. But unfortunately his old wired speaker also didn't have USB port to powered the Bluetooth receiver... 4. At the same time he has old 5v mobile charger (which is still in good condition and no mobile is using that charger anyway) laying around his house so he decided to use the mobile charger as a power supply for the Bluetooth receiver.. 5. Voila. He's complete connecting all the wire in correct position and now he's have turn his (Non Bluetooth) old wired speaker into a Bluetooth speaker. The conclusion is he doing this method because this way we don't need to carry extra wire and hanging wire around for the audio jack and USB Bluetooth receiver and that's why he connecting the mobile charger board to the power supply and to the USB Bluetooth receiver because without that the Bluetooth receiver will surely fried like fried chicken. Also please don't compare it to these modern day speaker that have all the port around it. Thanks for reading Well this is one of the good diy video also I like this kind of video that teach people how to diy. Peace. Keep on diy everyday.

@vstoykovbg6 жыл бұрын
Why you are using another switch? There is already a power switch inside. Why you use 3.5mm connector? You can just solder the wires directly to the PCB.
@robertcartier50885 жыл бұрын
No reply to your questions after a month, I guess he's busy... Let me try to answer. 1) Why another switch? Because the first switch is part of the Amplifier board and only turns off that part of the speaker. But now that it has additional circuitry, a second switch is needed to turn that off as well. Also, it is MUCH less complicated than converting the first switch to perform both tasks. 2) Why use the 3.5 mm plug when soldering would have been simpler? You are absolutely right. I suspect that he wanted to demonstrate the audio signal path in a very visual way for beginners, with a connector that is instantly recognizable. There is really no other reason that I can see.
