Professor Leonard ,thank you for another amazing video/lecture on How ro Convert Rectangular Coordinates to Polar Coordinates in Trigonometry. This topic makes Double and Triple Integrals much easier to work with in Calculus Three . I found this topic easy to memorize over a short period of time.

Professor, I can't thank you enough for adding the "footnote" re angles for QIV; viz, if you need the angle there to be positive, add 2*pi. Some authors stop just short of this and as a result, angles are positive for QI through QIII, but negative for QIV. I maintain that for consistency, one add 2*pi to the angle calculated in QIV. As an aside, most electronic vector network analyzers give results between -pi and +pi. This implies that your instructions for calculating the correct angles angles QI and QII are fine as is, and even for QIV if one does NOT add 2*pi. However, for QIII, where the angle would need to be between -pi/2 and -pi, one would have to SUBTRACT pi from the angle calculated for QIII. As always, a tip of the hat to you, and keep up the fine work. You are an inspiration to instructors like me! Thank you so much.

16:12 What about if I choose -3π/2 as the angle instead of π/2? Its the one angle that you didnt mention, but that would leave your terminal side at the 90° marker. On second thought...shouldnt you be restricting yourself to only a possibility of π/2 or -π/2 and not even have positive 3π/2 or negative 3π/2 as options for possible angles?
