my connection is an Optic fibre, i wish to convert to an RJ45 output so shud i need pair of the converters instead of one converter? and why is tat you using 2 converters, why dnt you just plugin the optic out put from 1st converter straigt to the router? thnx

Ohh..i understand the struggle, was in the same situation. wellp, yu can do what is either grab a thing called ONU ..there are lot cheap chinese brands yet reliable for it..grab it and conncet the ofc to input and configure on its page like you do on a router then via its output yu can plug in ethernet cable..not necessary to configuire the wifi router.. Other way is there is this thing "Injector Adapter" of tp link..grab that, almost same as ONU. Small and handy thingy. Plug the ofc into input and take rj45 frm output,voila! I use an ONU, both almost somwhere same price range, P.s- both need external power ...hmph! :(

Recently i applied for bsnl FTTH (they provide only connection and we have to buy the router).As in amazon/market prices, the GPON/EPON ONT routers are too bit costly to purchase though they have less specs. I still didn't buy the SYROTECH GPON ONT ROUTER so, my queston is... can i connect the optic cable directly to the media converter and convert this optic signal to LAN RJ45.From that converted LAN cable, can we able to connect other routers like TPLINK which supports LAN RJ 45. pls... @@bondoon Hi! I bought a converter, but sadly it didn't work. It seems it works but keep an eye on wavelength when you but. Check with your provider what it the wavelength, usually it is 800, 1310 and 1550nm and also depends on whether your fiber is multimode or singlemode. The one I bought was 800nm and mine was 1330 and since it doesn't work I decided not to wait another month and just buy a compatible router. Hope to be of help

You need a 1310/1550 WDM pair. 1310 transmits in one direction and 1550 in the other so you are duplexed on a single strand.

Check the fiver cable(if it is fractured from inside), clean the fiver cable head with rubbing alcohol and a soft cloth (gently), you must not bend the cable to a critical point, let me know if the trick worked 😉
