Very well done. Thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge. The most important thing to cooking ground meat is to avoid crowding the pan If you put too much meat in a small pan, it will steam instead of brown. You show how to do it properly, which is with a large pan and a reasonable amount of turkey. Next time, you may want to consider making this point at the beginning, and some viewers may not pick up on it.

And again I ask, what did you make of it from there? 🤔 I've never tried eating Turkey mince just as it is after frying. It's always gone into a bolognese or something else mainly saucey. I don't mind a turkey burger 'Gobble Gobble' How's things in Chicago theses days Melanie 👍😀

Why not preheat the pan?
@MelanieCooksRecipes11 ай бұрын
When you preheat and then add meat, it splatters. That's why I prefer to add to the cold pan, to avoid splatters. The result is the same.

@@MelanieCooksRecipes oooo ok. Does ground turkey have a weird texture to you? Or did I just pick a bad brand? I got it from Walmart and it was in a fat sausage shaped plastic thing
@MelanieCooksRecipes11 ай бұрын
it shouldn't have weird texture. The sausage-shaped brands are usually not the best, I prefer the rectange-shaped ones like Jennie-o

I like to season after cooking, but you can season before as well, it doesn’t make much of a difference

Pink means it's undercooked, you just need to cook it longer, stirring every minute, until none of it is pink.

Before cooking is it ok to wash geound turkey im surprised straight from packet you r cooking???😮
@MelanieCooksRecipes3 ай бұрын
It’s generally not recommended to wash ground turkey, as it can spread bacteria around your kitchen. It’s best to cook it straight from the package. Cooking it thoroughly will ensure it's safe to eat! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask! 🍗✨

I don't even remember which brand was the turkey in the video, I'm not picky about brands and get whatever is on sale. Extra liquid is no big deal, just have it simmer on the frying pan with the turkey and it will evaporate

White one is the extra-lean turkey, it's normal! The turkey in the video is 85% lean, and yours is probably 99% lean (which is ground turkey breast and is white in color). Same cooking instructions for both
